VIS incorporates cybersecurity throughout the lifecycle of networks, systems, and applications that we design, develop, operate, and maintain for our customers. VIS designs, develops, deploys and integrates Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming‐based simulations systems. Our expertise applies Local and Wide Area Network‐distributed computing, 3D and 2D rendering, and physics‐based modeling which provides dynamic environments containing over a million active entities. We minimize simulation and drive user‐facing applications and services with native transports and protocols. Our goal is to provide simulation stimulus that is functionally equivalent to the substituted live system’s interoperability and behavior and deliver the most representative user experience.
Since 2005, VIS has played a vital role supporting the Defense Medical Human Resources-internet (DMHRSi) for the Air Force. DMHRSi is a Human Resources (HR) management application designed to provide accurate HR information regarding medical personnel readiness, financial reporting, and other requirements across the Military Health System (MHS) enterprise.
VIS provides reinforcement of sustainment and training activities, including business process reengineering, to support DMHRSi at Air Force Military Treatment Facilities (MTF). Our services include on-site, classroom, and webinar training to Air Force Medical Expense Performance Reporting System managers. In addition, PSI professionals update all functional cost codes in DMHRSi to enable the Air Force to track man hours and support time-sensitive decisions. This data, which details the amount of time spent in support of MTF activities, is critical in tracking labor hours and analyzing financial impact on the MTFs.
VIS provides customers with the delivery of DevSecOps to support the development of new systems, the operation of exist‐ ing systems, and the migration of legacy systems to the cloud. We utilize technologies and tool suites that fully containerize microservices with independent and flexible technology stacks, fully automated testing, and automated daily deployments to the production environment. Quality and security are built in and enforced by tools that perform static analysis, linting, and scans for security vulnerabilities and container security.
